The global copper and silver markets are a natural environment for KGHM Polska Copper S.A. The Company is a fully responsible and reliable participant. It is also a global player amongst leaders of the non-ferrous metals market.

In global rankings of metals produers, KGHM Polska Copper S.A. is:
- seventh-largest amongst refined copper producers,
- second-largest amongst silver producers.


KGHM Polska Copper S.A. offers its customers naturally perfect raw materials for modern and safe technology, helping to create today and pointing the way to tomorrow.

The refined copper produced in KGHM is of a very high quality, as attested to by certificates issued by the London Metal Exchange. The basic product of KGHM is cathode copper, of which over 40% serves as a raw material for further processing in the divisions of KGHM into wire rod and round billets, while the remainder is sold on the foreign and domestic markets.

Annually KGHM Polska Copper S.A. produces over 1 200 tonnes of metallic silver. Silver containing over 99.99% Ag is produced in the form of bullion (bars) and as granulate.

The Company’s goal is to rationally manage its copper ore deposits. All of the waste and tailings generated by the production process are put to economical use. The product assortment of KGHM is further expanded by a range of by-products, representing added value in the revenues of the Company.

KGHM produced 924 kg of metallic gold in 2008.
